Dunlop have improved on their Aerogel range with the addition of 4D Braided technology which adds stiffness to the racket head while still allowing the frame to flex on impact with the ball. The 2009/10 range of Aerogel 4D Dunlop squash rackets are also lighter than their standard Aerogel equivalents, making them more manoeuvrable, with added power. Dunlop class these rackets as head light, but our tests showed them to be more even to slightly head heavy across the range, making them forgiving to play with and suitable for a wider range of players from beginners to county players and beyond.
The 2011/12 range is based on 'biomimetic' technology, broadly speaking mimicking patterns, structures and materials found in nature for use in man-made products. Dunlop have added an aerodynamic 'sharkskin' surface coating, HM6 Carbon honeycomb inspired internal structure and super tacky Gecko grip to their new range of rackets. The idea is a more aerodynamic racket with better energy return and feel with a sticky green handle, licked by lizards. (It's black actually.)
